NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed proposals will be received by the Executive Director of The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, at the general offices of the Authority, 19 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey 07927, on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:00AM prevailing time for:

UHF LICENSED POINT-TO-MULTI-POINT RADIO SYSTEM

 

Specifications and Bid Proposals may be obtained at the offices of the Authority, 19 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey 07927 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:00PM.  Prospective bidders will be issued specifications and bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00).

 

Bidders must use the prepared proposal form which is contained in the Contract Documents.  Each individual proposal must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Executive Director, The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, marked on the outside with the name of the item or project being bid on.  All bids must be delivered personally by an authorized representative of the bidder at the general offices of the Authority at the date and time set forth above. No bids will be accepted prior to such date or time or by mail, facsimile transmission, federal express or similar media. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after receipt of bids.

 

The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.

 

The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and to file bond within 10 days after the awarding of the contract.  The bond will be in the statutory form with corporate surety, approved by the Authority, in the full amount of the contract.  This is an open-ended unit price contract of twelve (12) months duration.

 

Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000, made payable to the order of The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, and a Consent of Surety.

 

The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding and to reject any and all bids.

 

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27; P.L. 1975, c. 127 and P.L. 2003, c. 91.
