Water Utility Selects New Chairman (Feb. 3, 2004)

At its annual reorganization meeting, the members of The Southeast Morris County Municipal Utility Authority (SMCMUA) elected Township of Hanover member, Adolf Schimpf, Ph.D., as Chairman.  Elizabeth Cregan, of Morristown moved into the Vice Chairman’s role while William Conradi of Morris Plains was designated Secretary.

This will be Schimpf’s fourth time as leader of Morris County’s largest public water purveyor serving 18,500 customers in Morristown, Morris Township, Morris Plains and Hanover as well as some service in Harding and Mendham Townships.

The Board also approved the reappointment of Sidney D. Weiss, Esq., as General Counsel and Hatch Mott MacDonald, formerly Killam Associates, as Consulting Engineer.  The Board’s relationship with both dates back to when SMCMUA was founded.
